In-Home and Group Respite Program

 

DayBreak serves seniors who:

• Would like socialization
• Have disabilities
• Have Alzheimer’s disease or any form of memory loss
• Have a caregiver who needs a break

Participants should:

• Not require constant supervision
• Be ambulatory with minimal assistance (walkers, canes and wheelchairs are acceptable)
• Be continent or have managed incontinence
• Be able to feed themselves
• Be independent in taking medications
• Not have a history of violence to self or others
• Be able to respond to redirection and be able to participate in group activities

DayBreak Activities:

• Social time with coffee and snacks
• Speakers on a variety of topics
• Crafts, table games, cards and BINGO
• Sing-a-longs, gentle exercise and movies
• Guided reminiscing and small group discussions

 

In-Home Respite provided by appointment
